Andrew E. Zeyer joined TWLL in July 2019 after earning his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
Prior to joining TWLL, Mr. Zeyer interned with a boutique real estate law firm, two government agencies involved with the development and finance of residential real estate, a prominent hospitality developer, the real estate department of a mid-size general practice law firm, and the New York City Housing Court in Manhattan. In these roles he assisted in preparing commercial leases, mortgage subordination agreements and offering plans, and drafting motions, orders and stipulations of settlement in a variety of landlord-tenant litigation matters.
At Brooklyn Law school, Mr. Zeyer concentrated his studies on real estate. He graduated with a Certificate in Real Estate Law from the Center for Urban Business & Entrepreneurship (“CUBE”) for his completion of its corporate & real estate law program. In his final year, Mr. Zeyer was awarded the Silver Pro Bono Award and Pro Bono Leadership Award from the Public Service Law Center for his 500+ hours of pro bono work and for his work serving as President of the CUBE Consultation Center, a Pro Bono project that provides legal assistance to local business and startups throughout the Brooklyn community.
At TWLL, Mr. Zeyer works on a variety of real estate matters with a particular focus on real estate property tax exemptions/abatements (J-51, ICAP, 421-a, & FRESH). He also represents client on New York City real property tax certiorari matters.
